'Don Bosco MEDIA' is a registered society today under Tamil Nadu Registration Act. It functions with four independent wings; 'alaihal MEDIA' for production, 'alaihal MEDIA Centre' for Marketing, 'alaihal MEDIA Club' for formation and animation of media clubs in Schools, Colleges and in various other platforms, 'DBIICE' for media studies. Indeed an achievement of its kinds in the last five years.

The centre went through a shift, from folk arts to people oriented digital media. Not that we neglected folk arts, we only decentralized to communities where they belong. Thanks to our predecessors for all the ground works.

It became easy for us take the road less travelled. The centre restarted with a fresh motto; 'communicate to educate, empower, employ, evangelize and entertain'. The shift was easy but we had to travel on a difficult terrain.

We needed financial assistance, psychological support, friendly pats and gentle corrections. We were also confounded by recognizable envy, blinded criticism and unmindful opposition. We constantly learnt our lessons. But we got all that we needed and courageously faced by all that confounded.

We look up in gratitude all our funding agencies, individual and group of benefactors and friends. Every penny we received and earned has collectively contributed to our phenomenal growth. In terms of reaching out to the poor, uphold human rights, create awareness, empowering the less empowered and enhancing participation and power of people through media and communication.

We are glad to have taken the technology to the poor and bridge the digital divide. Our efforts are on to place media at the forefront of achieving Millennium Development Goals.
