Another First for DBIICE
Don Bosco Institute of Information and Communication Excellence (DBIICE), a premier institution for Media Studies in Trichy achieves another of its firsts, as the students of the first batch complete their Diploma courses.

DBIICE officially launched the Diploma courses in Visual Editing and Mutimedia in July 2009, affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Trichy. The first batch of students completed the exam on 23 January 2010. Dr. K. Parthasarathy, Director of IECD (Institute of Entrepreneurship and Career Development), Bharathidasan University, visited our campus on 22 January 2010 and appreciated the facilities available at the institute and marveled at the competence of the students, many of whom are from the rural areas and some of whom have not even completed their school education. He lauded the staff and the Salesians for their committed service. He made everyone of us literally leap with joy when he said, “I will make sure the mark statement is available at the earliest. We can have the convocation on 3 February 2010. We should not keep the students waiting for the certificate and rob them of the opportunity to get a job.” He also wanted the students to make a promotional film on IECD & Bharathidasan University. The external examiners who came from the Bharathidasan University too were awestruck at the facilities available at the institute. Mr. Kesavan, one of the examiners observed, “No where in Trichy we have such facilities. Students from DBIICE can move to any part of the world and make a career.”
We are sure our students will scale great heights and make DBIICE proud.
