DBIICE TRAINS B-SCHOOL

On 10 September 2010 forty-four MBA., (Masters in Business Administration) students St. Joseph Institute of Management (JIM) of St. Joseph's College said good bye to books, yet learned volumes. They broke away from the customary chalk-board methodology to follow the praxis method to better understand the different components of an advertisement and its making process.

Don Bosco Institute of Information & Communication Excellence (DBIICE) is now a popular centre to train the B-Schools students in creating advertisements and communicating creatively. After a brief theory session the story boards of the different groups were corrected and necessary changes were made to enable shooting. The students went into their groups and shot the advertisements. They were assisted by the DBIICE staff in handling the camera.

Students were extremely happy to have had this hands-on practice. "It was great experience for me," said Lavanya, one of the students. "I learnt a lot in short span of time. The staff were fantastic and were very helpful," said Vinod. "The campus is really superb. I love this place, " said one. " I am touching the camera for the first time," said another. The training is to be done in two phases. A memorandum of Understanding (MoU) may be signed between the two institutes to train the B-Students every year.
