PROJECT SLR - FREE MEDIA STUDIES FOR SRILANKAN REFUGEE YOUTH
Don Bosco MEDIA’s training wing DBIICE is offering a nine-month long free training in Multimedia and Visual Editing to the Sri Lankan Tamil youth.

True to its aim Bridging the digital divide, Don Bosco MEDIA has been offering quality education to the poor students in the field of Media Studies for several years. Don Bosco MEDIA which has always championed the cause of poor and marginalized has added another feather to its cap by opening its portal to the disadvantaged Sri Lankan Tamil youth. The institute equipped with state-of-the-art technology will train the students for nine months. The students can do their diploma studies either in Animation &Graphics (Multimedia) or in Visual Editing. Eligible students will also receive the Diploma certificate from IECD, Bharthidasan University. The courses are offered under Livelihood Taining & Job Placement for Sri Lankan Tamil Youth Programme. The objective of this programme is to assist the diaspora in the rehabilitation process. The course will commence on 1 July 2010. Towards the end of the course the students will undergo in-house training to polish their skills and learn from the experts.
The training also includes life coping skills and English and communication skills.
