Television industry is growing and today it is only a question of forms. The television industry is projected to be the major contributor to the overall industry revenue and is estimated to grow at a healthy rate of 22 percent cumulatively over the next five years.
There are always channels waiting for permission to uplink. Emergence of new technologies with a focus on distribution platforms like e-cinema, DTH, IPTV, CAS, Mobile TV, Web and digital broadcasting have widened the opportunities for a career. The course deals with physical foundation of television, Script writing, Production, Post-Production, Internship and project work by students. Knowledge is also imparted in camera operation and control, photography, videography, composition, lighting, Basics of audio engineering, direction, news and documentaries, non-broadcast television, ethical and legal issues concerning television production. After completing the course, the students will be able to make programmes for television or produce independent programmes in any of the television forms.
